The School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr Oh Wen Da and Prof. Dr Mohd Hazwan Hussin on receiving the Research University Team Grant – High-Impact Research (RU Team-High Impact) 2026.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Oh Wen Da, as Project Leader, received RM542,000.00 for the project entitled “Valorization of Microalgae into High-Performance Carbon Nanomaterials for Sustainable Advanced Device and Environment Applications.”
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr Mohd Hazwan Hussin, as Sub-Project Leader, received RM151,500.00 for the project entitled “Mechanistic Study of Resinification and Curing Behaviour of Kenaf-Derived Lignin for Formaldehyde-Free Wood Adhesive.”
These achievements reflect the School’s continued commitment to advancing high-impact research in sustainable materials, environmental applications and green technologies.
