School of Chemical Sciences Researchers Secure International Research Grants
The School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr Mohamad Nurul Azmi Mohamad Taib and Assoc. Prof. ChM Dr Lee Hooi Ling on securing prestigious international research grants.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Mohamad Nurul Azmi Mohamad Taib was awarded a Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Research Fund grant worth £5,000 for the project entitled “Cheminformatics-Assisted 13C NMR Dereplication (MixONat) of Aglaia Metabolites for Anticancer Lead Discovery (CAMDAL)”.
Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. ChM Dr Lee Hooi Ling received an international research grant for the project “Strengthening Chemical Security in Southeast Asia: Findings and Policy Recommendations from a Malaysia-led Regional Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) Study Project”. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) and CRDF Global, with total funding of USD 46,913.23.
These achievements reflect the School’s continued commitment to advancing impactful research and strengthening international research collaboration.
